'Know Your Customer' popularly known as KYC, is mandatory while booking any
non-document eg package - containing any physical material, personal or
commercial. For KYC, Aadhar or PAN card copy of actual shipper is required.
What is AWB
AWB stands for 'Airway Bill'. It is a document bearing a unique no. prepared
at the time of booking a shipment mentioning details of Sender & Receiver,
content, weight, date & time of booking, charges, T&C etc. This unique no.
is used for tracking the shipment.
Actual or Dead weight
Actual weight of the shipment, as shown on
the weighing scale
Volumetric weight
Weight based on actual dimension -
LengthXBreadthXHeight, divided by a carrier-specific constant, say 5000 ie.
LXBXH/5000
It calculates the actual space that the package occupies while being
transported, as compared to the actual/dead weight. It is used for
calculating weight of lighter material occupying bigger space eg. toys,
empty containers, picture frame, glass items etc.
Weight discrepancy
It is a disagreement between the sender & the
carrier over the reported weight of the package. As the charges are based on
the weight of the package, the dispute arises on the way actual weight is
calculated - dead weight or volumetric weight. The weight calculated by the
carrier is treated as the final weight of the shipment for the purpose of
calculation of charges.
Zone
Zone refers to the geographical areas spanning from zone 1-6
for domestic & zone 1-8 for cross-border shipments.
Carriers use zones to measure distance a package travels from the point of
origin to final destination.
Zone is also used to check the serviceability of a certain pin/zipcode, cost
& days for delivery by the courier partner.
Shipping Label
A document which is pasted on the package
containing key information, similar to AWB, including method of shipping -
air or surface.
It also carries a unique no. used for tracking the shipment.

label printing feature, you can prefix customized templates and add your
